GMS Checkerplate Covers

Galvanised Mild Steel (GMS) checkerplate covers are a reliable choice for electrical and communications pits, combining strength, security, and easy access. With a naturally slip-resistant finish, they are well-suited to pedestrian areas and can be supplied in drop-in, bolt-down, or padlockable options. Available in Classes A, B, and C as standard (with Class D and heavier options available on request), these covers are designed to sit flush within the rebate of GRC pits. Locking options include high-security bolts or keyed padlocks, with barless locking systems providing a clear opening and no loose components. Manufactured and tested in line with AS/NZ standards, all covers are hot-dip galvanised for durability. Optional brass or stainless-steel marker plates and security keyhole plugs can also be supplied.
Concrete Infill Covers

Concrete infill covers are a reliable and versatile solution for a wide range of projects, from residential through to commercial and civil works. Once filled with concrete or pavement material, they provide a secure, sealed finish that integrates neatly with surrounding surfaces. Each cover is engineered with high-performance ribbing for strength, precisely machined faces to prevent rocking under traffic, and load tested in accordance with AS/NZ3996:2019. Available in Class B, D, E, and G load ratings, they can also be configured in multi-part assemblies. Where appearance is important, stainless steel or brass edging options add a refined finish.
Paver Infill Covers

Paver infill covers provide a sleek, integrated surface finish, making them an ideal choice for urban environments, civic spaces, and landscaped areas. Manufactured from durable ductile iron and available in Class B and Class D load ratings (AS/NZ3996:2019), they are designed to blend seamlessly into surrounding pavements, tiles, or decorative concrete. With a deep dish to accommodate a variety of surface finishes, these covers deliver both versatility and strength. Tested and certified without infill, they offer long-term durability, easier handling, and secure reseating without the risk of warping or misalignment. Available in non-gastight and gastight/watertight configurations, they are a flexible solution for projects requiring reliable access while maintaining a consistent paving finish.
GRC Checkerplate Covers

Lightweight Glass Reinforced Concrete (GRC) covers are designed to sit flush within the rebate of GRC pits, providing a clean, practical finish for pedestrian trafficable areas. Finished with a non-slip checkerplate surface, they offer a safe and reliable option for public spaces where durability and ease of use are essential. Covers are available plain, or with standard Electricity and Communications markings, making them versatile for a wide range of applications. Non-corrosive and non-conductive, GRC covers are well-suited for environments where traditional metal or steel products may be less effective. Their lightweight design makes handling and installation straightforward, while lifting keyholes and plugs are included as standard for secure and efficient access.
Solid Top Covers

Solid top covers provide a durable, non-slip surface with the advantage of being lighter in weight than concrete infill options. Engineered with precision-machined edges to create a secure seal and prevent movement under traffic, they deliver strength, safety, and reliable performance across a wide range of applications. Designed and tested in accordance with AS/NZS 3996:2019, solid top covers are available in Class B, D, E, and G load ratings, and can be supplied as two-part, three-part, trench run, or multipart assemblies. For efficient installation, they can also be supplied with concrete encasements tailored to site requirements.
Concrete Encased Covers

Concrete encased covers are designed for straightforward installation, saving time on site by eliminating the need for concrete collars, encasement, or additional steelwork. Manufactured with a reverse rebate to suit GRC pits, these assemblies provide a gas- and watertight seal and are engineered to AS/NZ3996 load rating requirements. Constructed from grade T220 cast iron and supplied with lifting keyholes and plugs, each unit is coated for durability and long-term performance. Options include bolt-down and security systems, decorative stainless steel or brass edging, and multi-part configurations for larger access needs. With custom surrounds available, concrete encased covers offer a practical, efficient solution that combines ease of installation with proven strength and compliance.
